(Ps.111.10) Hymn of the Day: Hymn 614, There is a Balm in Gilead, balm in gilead In the Gospel of Mark, the first person healed by Jesus had “an unclean spirit.” So do we all; yet in baptism we receive instead the Holy Spirit. The second reading this Sunday is Paul’s interesting discussion about whether Christians could eat meat that had been first offered to gods or goddesses.
