A New Way of Welcoming Families into the Nave

While we have been safely doing in-person worship for several months, we have missed seeing families in the Nave and we miss the vibrancy and life that our youngest Trinity participants add to our worship life together! Some of our families have expressed a desire to be at worship but are concerned that the need for their little ones to move around might make others in worship feel unsafe because of the Coronavirus.

We want to meet the needs of our young families while still adhering to all of the Covid safety protocols. In the back of the Nave, we have created two “boxes” for two families to use. Each area will have its own seating and basic kid-friendly supplies that will be cleaned and sanitized weekly. There is easy-access to the Narthex to use as extra wiggle-room if needed and there is a bathroom and changing table nearby.

Here’s how you can help families feel comfortable and welcome in the Nave:

  • You can wave, smile and let them know how happy you are to see them while remaining at least 6 feet away.
  • Our families want to be sure that their children are as safe as you are so please respect their space as they are respecting yours and of course, wear your masks!
  • If you see babies or infants, please do not get too close! We know how difficult it is to NOT be able to hold, hug, cuddle or see young ones but for the health and well being of all…please keep your distance.
  • If you hear noise from little ones in the Nave, give thanks for the young life that is among us!

If you desire to return to in-person worship but are concerned about needing space for your children to move around in, please talk to or email Jena Hill at [email protected]. There is space for you!

Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. Mark 10:14
