Eight Sessions starting June 23 through August 11
This study is open to all adults and high-school youth, baptized or not, Lutheran or not.
Cantor Mark Mummert, Leader
Have you ever wondered: What are the essential matters or things of Christian worship? What is central to Lutheran worship? What is changing in worship practice among Lutherans in our time? Why do we do this or that action in worship? Why do we say these or those words in worship? Is Sunday worship really necessary in order for me to be a Christian? A Lutheran?
If you have asked these questions, this Adult Forum is for you. We will explore the biblical, traditional, and theological foundations for Christian worship, especially as practiced by Lutherans. For this study, we will use Dr. Gordon Lathrop’s book, Central Things: Worship in Word and Sacrament. The book is available for purchase (paperback) for $10.
