ALERTWorcester Sign Up

The City of Worcester wants all of its residents to be prepared for the next emergency and offers a number of resources for residents:

ALERTWorcester – An automated emergency notification system available in 23 languages. By signing up to receive notifications, you will be among the first to know about emergency situations or critical community alerts. General community information – such as parking bans, leave collection, and more – is also shared. Sign up is available online at www.worcesterma.gov/stay-connected or by calling the City’s customer service line at 3-1-1.

Smart911 – A database that allows you to give first responders more information about you, your organization, your business, or your household that will be shared in the event that a 9-1-1 call is placed, and it allows you to share information such as any special needs that responders should know about in the event of an emergency, who is expected to be home at certain times of day, and emergency contact information. Sign-up is available at worcesterma.gov.

For more information, to learn about what the City is doing to keep you safe in the event of an emergency, and for any other specific support needs, feel free to reach out to the Worcester Fire Department, the Worcester Police Department, Worcester Emergency Communications and Management, and Worcester Public Health, and follow them on social media for the latest updates.
