An Open Pastoral Letter to the WPI Community

An Open Pastoral Letter to the WPI Community – January 2022

To our friends and neighbors at WPI, please know we mourn with you the death of six members of your community in this 2021-2022 academic year.  Each person is a valuable and precious member of the human family and their death is a tragedy.  Please know we are with you in prayer, and here for you in love, in this difficult time. If you would like a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, or to hear the comforting words of Jesus Christ, we invite you to join us for worship on a Sunday morning or Wednesday evening (please check our website for Covid-related announcements pertaining to in-person worship). We are just a short walk away as we are physical neighbors situated between WPI and the Worcester Art Museum.

I also invite you to contact me or one of my colleagues on the ministry staff if you would like a safe and confidential listening ear off campus. Our contact information is available on the Staff page of this website. You do not need to struggle alone. A community of love and support awaits you in our congregation.

In closing, a prayer:  “Dear God, we ask your blessing upon the WPI community. Comfort those who mourn. Encourage those who struggle. Accompany those for whom these days are stressful and painful. Lead the community of WPI to new hope and love.  We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Pastor Nathan Pipho
