Annual Congregational Meeting – January 24 at Noon via Zoom (members can login beginning at 11:30 a.m.)

The Annual Congregational Meeting of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church will be held via Zoom Video Conference on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Noon.

The agenda will be limited to two items of business:

[1] Approval of 2021 Congregational Budget

[2] Election of nominees to the Congregational Council and Nominating Committee

Members new to Zoom, or who want to make sure they are fully connected and ready to participate in the meeting, are encouraged to login on beginning at 11:30 a.m. using the login credentials mailed and emailed to the congregation.

Due to concerns about the Covid-19 pandemic, and after consulting Massachusetts Legislative action for nonprofits during a pandemic and guidance offered by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Council at its December meeting voted to hold the 2021 Congregational Annual  Meeting of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church remotely via Zoom video conference call.

Voting members of the congregation (defined by the Trinity Constitution as having communed and made a financial contribution at least once in the previous two years) are invited to participate in the meeting via the internet on their electronic devices or by calling in on their telephones. Access details for both internet and telephone participation in the meeting were mailed to the congregation at the end of December and will be emailed to the congregation prior to the meeting. One does not need to have internet access to participate in the meeting.

For those members who cannot participate due to technological reasons, ballots on the two agenda items may be requested from Office Manager Chris Jackel by Noon on Thursday, January 14, 2021. Ballots will be collected by members of the Trinity Council prior to the meeting. The total number of people voting using this method will be recorded in the minutes and counted in the quorum of attendees at the meeting.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we balance the safety of our members with the need to continue to conduct the business of the church proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please contact Pastor Nathan or Council President Nancy Fontneau if you have any questions or concerns.
