Last November, these Trinity members, Dave and Roz Horn, participated in a trip to Israel, Palestine and Jordan sponsored by the New England Synod of the ELCA. Their group of 23 went well beyond a standard tour of pilgrimage sites to experience firsthand the current political and economic situation in Jerusalem, the West Bank, Galilee and Jordan.
In addition to visiting biblical sites and following in the footsteps of Jesus and his disciples, they also experienced firsthand the extensive ministries of the Lutheran Church working under less-than-ideal circumstances. Frequently they were asked to “just tell people back in the USA what you saw.”
