Transition Update – August 19th!

At its August 13, 2018 meeting, the Congregational Council continued its conversation on ministry staffing options. Various scenarios were presented, with most of the conversation focused on a staffing model of a full time ministry team of Pastor + Cantor + Youth & Family Outreach Minister.

The Council discussed how this model was consistent with the reports of the Transition Team and how it might, or might not, meet the needs of the congregation.  The Council also received a report from the Treasurer and Finance Committee regarding the impact various staffing models might have on the operating budget and endowment fund.

Conversation on ministry staffing is focused on additional staff to serve with Pastor Nathan and Cantor Mark as they continue to live out their calls to the congregation.  The question about ministry staffing is about the complete ministry team that helps the congregation live out its Mission Statement: “To Welcome, Proclaim, and Serve in Christ’s Name.”

The Congregation will continue discussing the Pastor + Cantor + Youth & Family Outreach Minister model at its September meeting and invites your prayers in this time of transition.  If you have any questions, please speak with Pastor Nathan and/or a member of the Council.
