Trinity is Officially in the AMMPARO Network

Trinity has officially joined the ELCA’s AMMPARO Network. Along with almost 200 congregations across the ELCA, we are committed to Accompanying Migrant Minors with Protection, Advocacy, Representation and Opportunities. You can read the Welcome Letter from AMMPARO by clicking HERE.

The United States has officially raised the refugee admissions ceiling from 15,000 to 62,500 this fiscal year. This is halfway to the administration’s goal of resettling 125,000 people in fiscal year 2022 and thus lays the groundwork for improving our capacity to welcome as a nation. Here in Worcester, Ascentria is working on a plan to hire staff and reinvigorate programming to assist the families who will be resettling in our community.

You can be on the lookout for future opportunities to learn, advocate, participate and donate to causes and issues surrounding our migrant siblings in Christ. If you want to join the AMMPARO task force at Trinity, please contact Jena Hill [email protected] or Bess Sproul.

Here’s how you can get involved right now:
