Thom Tarquinio, Dale Mattice, Timmy O’Connor, Pastor Cliff Gerber, and Pastor Nathan Pipho will be representing Trinity as voting members at this year’s New England Synod Assembly held in Springfield, Massachusetts.
With the theme “Stir it Up,” pastors and lay members representing the nearly 170 Luthearn congregations of the Synod will look at ways the Holy Spirit is stirring up among Synod congregations and ministries. Special guests will include ELCA Representative Stephen Bouman who will guide the Bishop’s election process as Bishop Jim Hazelwood stands for re-election to a second six-year term.
Preachers at the assembly will include the Rev. Laura Everett, Executive Director of the Mass Council of Churches and the Rev. Carrie Smith of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jerusalem who will also be presenting a session on her work in partnership with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land.
