Carty Cupboard Sunday, March 2

Carty Cupboard’ Sunday - if you are called to do so, please bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Carty Cupboard food pantry. Donations can be places in the grocery cart located in the Nave near the front left, when facing the alter. All donations are delivered to our neighbors at Wesley United Methodist Church. The Carty Cupboard is open on Wednesdays only from 1-2:30pm.

Over the past Sundays, we have seen Jesus show himself to be Christ, the one anointed by God to be our Savior. This Sunday, the Transfiguration, when Jesus appears on a mountain in divine glory, concludes the time after Epiphany. In three days, on Ash Wednesday, we begin the climb to the mountain of Jesus’ crucifixion. The church holds side-by-side the brilliance of God and the cross of Jesus.
