Ninth Sunday after Pentecost (Lectionary 18A)

We invite you to worship with us at one of our two weekend liturgies. A prerecorded online sung Service of the Word is made available at https://vimeo.com/trinityworcester by 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays for home worship.

An in-person spoken service is held in the Trinity Nave at 10:00 a.m. Sundays with attendees wearing masks and following posted physical distancing guidelines.  Both liturgies are based on the appointed Sunday scripture readings.  In light of the ongoing risk posed by the Coronavirus we invite you to make a responsible and healthy decision in experiencing God’s Word in the liturgy right for you and your family.

BIBLE READINGS, PSALM & SONG, & THEMES

Isaiah 55:1-5 Eat and drink what truly satisfies

Romans 9:1-5 The glory of God’s people in Israel

    Matthew 14:13-21 Jesus feeds 5000

Psalmody: Psalm 145:8-9, 14-21 You open wide your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.

Hymn of the Day: Hymn 479, We Come to the Hungry Feast, HUNGRY FEAST

In the gospel reading for this coming Sunday, Jesus feeds the multitude with only a little bread. He is still doing this: come to worship, to hear this blessing and to eat the food that our Savior gives to us.
