Worship this Sunday
We invite you to join us for worship this Sunday! Whether you are a life-long Christian or beginning to explore spirituality for the first time, you are welcome at Trinity Lutheran Church. We look forward to seeing you soon!
We invite you to worship with us either in-person or online. LIVESTREAM video available at www.vimeo.com/trinityworcester Holy Eucharist is offered at Trinity Church on Sundays at 8:00 a.m. in Christ Chapel and at 10:00 a.m. in the Nave. Due to ongoing concerns related to COVID-19, attendees are urged to wear face-masks, but there is no requirement. This worship service is also available to watch and hear online via our Vimeo channel or through our congregational website. Lutherans teach and confess that Christ is present in the assembly gathered around the proclaimed Word of God, in the water and the Word of Holy Baptism, and in the shared meal of bread and wine at Holy Communion. BIBLE READINGS, PSALM & SONG, & THEMES Micah 6:1-8 The offering of justice, kindness, humility 1 Corinthians 1:18-31 Christ crucified, the wisdom and power of God Matthew 5:1-12 The teaching of Christ: Beatitudes Psalmody: Psalm 15 Lord, who may abide upon your holy hill? Hymn of the Day: ELW Hymn 714, O God of Mercy, God of Light, JUST AS I AM The word “Beatitudes” refers to the list of nine “Blessed are they” in this Sunday’s gospel. These words of Jesus are lovely to hear, but challenging to embody. Come to worship, where we receive the Spirit to live according to this countercultural worldview.Event Information:
