Baked Goods for WPI Fraternities

You may have seen or heard on the news that 7 students from WPI have died in the past six months. At least three of those deaths are confirmed suicides. Here at Trinity, we have been wondering what we can do to help address the mental health crisis that has been exacerbated by Covid. As we are beginning to connect with staff and faculty at WPI around these issues, there is one thing that we can do. WE CAN LET OUR WPI NEIGHBORS ON WACHUSETT STREET KNOW THAT WE LOVE AND CARE ABOUT THEM!

There are two fraternities on Wachusett Street. Combined, there are 70 young adults living there. For the past two weeks, we have been delivering baked goods to them and we’re planning to do it regularly. This is an easy way for us to reach out to our neighbors! You are invited to participate by baking or by making a donation so that others can bake on your behalf. Please get in touch with Jena Hill or Nina Behm with questions or offers to help. In the coming weeks, we’ll be gathering to come up with a longer-term plan to support WPI. Stay tuned!
