ANNUAL STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN – OCTOBER 31 COMMITMENT SUNDAY
“I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit.”
Dear siblings in Christ,
In our Stewardship Campaign this fall we are inviting reflection on what it means to be connected to Christ the vine. Our individual lives and our life together as a community of faith thrive and bear fruit because Jesus fills us with new life again and again. In the midst of a pandemic, in a divided culture, in the face of fear and anxiety, our source of life has kept us going.
We are rooted! We have resumed three Holy Eucharists every week: Sundays at 8:00 a.m. & 10:00 a.m. and Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. We have three Bible Studies every week and an Adult Forum studying the Small Catechism of Martin Luther. We have children’s areas in the Nave and time for children during Sunday worship. In worship and study, we become more aware of our connection to our source of life.
We are branches one with another! Our luncheons on the Trinity Green, our fellowship after worship, the resumption of the Dine with Nine program, and the ministry of the TLC Care Team are just some of the ways we are growing together as one community rooted in Christ.
We bear fruit in the world! Our support for Carty Cupboard Food Pantry, Necessities for Neighbors, the Good Samaritan Fund, and engagement with border ministry and ministry with migrants are just some of the ways we see our community sharing God’s life beyond our walls and our congregation.
Thank you for all that you give of yourselves and your gifts of every kind that make our community possible. Thank you for being an important part of this growing, living community rooted in Christ. As we look to the ways we are rooted and growing and bearing fruit in Christ, we invite you to consider your financial commitment to our shared ministry for this coming year. Financial Commitment Cards will be distributed during October. After prayerfully considering your financial commitment, please return your commitment card in worship on Sunday, October 31, 2021 or mail it into the church office by that Sunday.
Praise be to God for you, for your gifts, for all you bring to our ministry, and to Christ our vine!
