“Forever Faithful” Commitment Happens This Sunday

“Forever Faithful” Commitment Sunday, June 10th is when pledge cards will be collected at both liturgies.  If you need a pledge form, there will be a supply on the kiosk and both entrances to the Nave and Chapel.  The goal of the campaign is to reduce outstanding debt incurred at the conclusion of the “Restoring+Renewing+Rejoicing” Campaign which raised approximately $620,000 to-date in order to pay for the construction and renovation projects that were undertaken during the past three years.   The remainder of the funds for these projects ($700,000) was borrowed from the ELCA’s Mission Investment Fund (MIF) with a 20-year repayment period.

The “Forever Faithful” Campaign will be launched on July 1, 2018, with the sole aim of reducing this debt. This campaign will be three years in duration with a goal of raising at least $700,000 so that the MIF loan can be retired early.

Here are some key dates to please bear in mind in addition to today’s Commitment Sunday:

June 30, 2018:   End of grace period for receipt of gifts/fulfillment of pledges to Restoring+Renewing+Rejoicing Capital Campaign

July 1, 2018:      Beginning of Forever Faithful Campaign.  Envelopes and electronic giving opportunities will be available.

With God’s help and by working together, the generous people of Trinity Church can make this goal a reality.  We hope that you will give this campaign your prayerful attention and will be able to give a gift to the Forever Faithful campaign.

Questions may be directed to any of the members of the Steering Committee (Kevin Erkkila, Carol Hartz, Joel Schur, Loret Schur, or Jessica Sutherland).  Thank you all for your ongoing generosity!
