We thank Pastor Eric VanLeeuwen – March 11th!

We thank Pastor Eric VanLeeuwen for presiding/preaching at the 8 a.m. liturgy and for preaching at the 10 a.m. liturgy.  Please join in a light reception during Coffee Hour in Pastor VanLeeuwen’s honor following the 10 a.m. liturgy as we wish him a prayerful farewell in preparation for his move to Minnesota at the end of March to be near family.

Pastor VanLeeuwen grew up in Trinity Church and was ordained into the Lutheran ministry of Word and Sacrament in June 1958.  He served Christ Lutheran Church in Hyde Park (Long Island) New York for 39 years before retiring and returning to Worcester.  In retirement, he served St. Paul Lutheran Church in Proctor, Vermont for 15 years in addition to being an active member of Trinity.

He has been a model of the Christian life, living a life of humility, compassion, and encouragement.   He has blessed members with his deep devotion and passionate insight in the Men’s Wednesday Bible Study and past Lenten Bible Studies on the Book of John.  May God bless Pastor VanLeeuwen in his next season of life in the Midwest!
