Dear New England Synod:

Yesterday we experienced shameful attacks on the integrity of the Lutheran expression of Christianity in the United States. Members of the President’s team, Mike Flynn and Elon Musk, publicly called our historic Lutheran commitments to loving and serving our neighbors in Christ’s name a “money laundering operation” in which we are receiving “illegal payments” from the Federal government. These comments have been widely shared on social media. …

April 5: Meal Packing Event

Trinity will be hosting a meal packing event on Saturday, April 5th. We plan to put together 20,000 meals for the local food pantries. The meals we will pack are either rice, pasta or oatmeal with a protein supplement and flavor packet. They taste good and provide 6-12 grams of protein, include real fruits and vegetables and are vitamin fortified. …

Sunday Worship, February 2nd

This coming Sunday we hear Luke’s story of the ritual at which the infant Jesus was presented in the temple and his mother Mary was “purified” after childbirth. Receiving them in the temple are Simeon and Anna, two old people who speak about the redemption that will come through Jesus’ death. All narratives about Jesus point to his death and resurrection. Come to worship, and at communion hold Christ in your own hands.
