This Lent, Trinity Church offers opportunities to study the ELCA’s Declaration to People of African Descent. This study is called, “Now Is the Time.” This five-week study will be offered at Trinity on two in-person sessions on Sundays in Lent and also online.
Together we will discuss our church’s response to racism and pray that our ministries be open to all and reflective of the wide expanse of God’s love for all. Together, we will learn, reflect, wrestle, listen, and share. Pastor Nathan will facilitate the Sunday 9:00 a.m. sessions. Cantor Mark will facilitate the Sunday 11:30 a.m. sessions.
If you would like to participate in Now Is the Time but you aren’t able to attend any or all of the in-person sessions, you are invited to participate online. Jena Hill will be facilitating the online learning process using Google classroom using this link Now is the Time Online. You can read at your own pace, watch the accompanying videos when it is convenient for you and offer your thoughts, reflections and questions when you’re able! If you would like more information or have questions about how to access the class, please contact Jena Hill at [email protected].
