In the ELCA draft Social Statement on “Civic Life and Faith” that we’re currently studying it invokes “…the need to pray for civic and political leaders (1 Timothy 2:12), the responsibility to vote and participate in political life, and the need for collective action toward fair and compassionate government.” (Page 20, line 729-31). May God guide and keep us all in this election and through the weeks ahead. “
