    Ninth Sunday after Pentecost

We invite you to worship with us during this pandemic either in-person or online.

    LIVESTREAM video available at www.vimeo.com/trinityworcester

Holy Eucharist is offered in the Trinity Nave at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday. All attendees wear face-masks and follow posted physical distancing guidelines. The assembly sings larger portions of the service as we move through the summer. We commune currently with the bread only, received directly from the ministers wearing masks and gloves. This worship service is also available to watch and hear online via our Vimeo channel or through our congregational website.

In light of the ongoing risk posed by the coronavirus we invite you to make a responsible and healthy decision regarding your participation in our worship. Lutherans teach and confess that Christ is present in the assembly gathered around the proclaimed Word of God, in the water and the Word of Holy Baptism, and in the shared meal of bread and wine at Holy Communion.

BIBLE READINGS, PSALM & SONG, & THEMES

2 Kings 4:42-44 Elisha feeds a hundred people

    Ephesians 3:14-21 Prayer to Christ

    John 6:1-21 Jesus feeds 5000

Psalmody: Psalm 145:10-18 You open wide your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing

Hymn of the Day: Hymn 775, Jesus, Priceless Treasure, JESU MEINE FREUDE

For the next five Sundays, our gospel readings come from John, rather than from Mark. The Gospel of Mark was the earliest gospel written, about 70 ce, and the Gospel of John the last, about 100 ce. All five weeks will focus on Jesus as the bread of life. Come to worship, to hear and to eat.
